Comments:  Sometimes an ADT tale or adventure sounds so good until one tries to put on paper! It is really hard to convey with words just how great the ADT is. You have done an excellent job in capturing the ADT spirit!

Comments Cant remember whether I left a message or not (put it down to old age!!) But I thoroughly enjoyed the book, eventually... It took me three tries before I could finish. But I thoroughly enjoyed it when I could continue reading without having to stop to use the mound of tissues I had supplied myself with. The story epitomises what the Airedale is all about. Love to all in Australia, I hope to meet you all in 2003 (I hopefully am coming to judge a couple of shows then) Yvonne, and the "Buxton" Fairydales

Comments:  What a great idea to write a book about these great dogs. We live in Canada, British Columbia, and we have Airedales for the last 20 years. We still have one now a female she is 11 years old and doing fine and still plays with her stuffed animals . I think I will order the book in the near future.By the way we got the info from my sister in law who is a member from the Airedale terrier club in Holland. Greetings Elisabeth Ketting

Comments:   Oh what a beautiful story. I couldn't stop crying. I still get weepy when I look at the book. The illustrations are also so beautful. I am an airedale owner, so I wanted something "airdaleish" for my coffee table but I also have something I will treasure always. I love my Bazil as much as you love your airedales. Aren't they the best???

Comments: I received my copy of Emma's Journey the same day a little chow bitch we had taken to #2 nationally several years ago had to be euthanized due to a liver tumor. I know in my heart Celeste is with Emma and Aaron. Thank-you so much for writing this lovely book.

Comments: I highly recommend this truly beautiful book to any dog lover, and of course Airedale lovers in particular. The illustrations are devine, the story captivating and moving. It gives us all hope that our departed friends are in a happy and safe place. I read my personally autographed copy from cover to cover the day it arrived, and my own Airedales enjoyed the extra kisses and cuddles lavished on them afterwards. I will treasure this book always, and am sure I will read it many more times in my life, when my heart needs uplifting. Thank you Sue and Bill for writing this book.

Comments:   The Emma-Aaron odyssey connects! I don't know much about the High Country of spirit ‘dales, but I do know about the "High Country" Jesus makes real enough in the spirit of the heart! We get to know others through these stories - "all the wild and sad and courageous tales that we tell," as John Eldredge says in _The Journey of Desire_ .

_Emma's Journey_ is one of those stories.

A quote from Eldredge's book so fits the way in which I could find bits and pieces of the story I already know in my heart with the one about Emma and Aaron, Rose and Charlie, Airlie - and the humans! - that I'd like to include it here:

"Reminders of the story are everywhere - in films and novels, in children's fairy tales, in the natural world around us, and in the stories of our own lives. In fact, every story or movie or song or poem that has ever stirred your soul is telling you something you need to know about the Sacred Romance. Even nature is crying out to us of God's great heart and the drama that is unfolding. Sunrise and sunset tell the tale every day, remembering Eden's glory, prophesying Eden's return. These are the trumpet calls from the ‘hid battlements of eternity.' We must capture them like precious treasure, and hold them close to our hearts."

_Emma's Journey_ is a treasure to hold close. Thanks for writing it!

Comments: Congratulations Sue and Bill, The launch was great. What a delightful venue with the animals and lake and especially the mud home. What was really fantastic was the hundred or so Airedales who without exception behaved as one should for such an occassion. It was delightful to meet so many people who had bought a pup from the same litter you did and to see how they identified with so many of the insights in the book. The book lives up to expectation. What a wonderful gift for a birthday or Christmas. The charming story will touch all who read it but boy, the pictures capture the Airedale and his wonderful personality. Well done, good luck with world sales and thankyou for thinking of Airedale Rescue.

Comments:  I was insanely jealous that my friend, June Dutcher received her copy before I did. She could NOT stop raving about this book; how it truly and wonderfully captures the Airedale spirit, how it's a tale of optimism and joy rather than sadness, how the authors have so accurately captured the heart of an Airedale, how the illustrations could really make her see the High Country. After waiting for what seemed an eternity, my own copy arrived and June did not overstate the beauty of Emma's Journey. It's all the things she said it was, and more. I'm so grateful to have a copy in my library and know I will read it over and over again. It's stunningly poignant and reminds me that when it's my turn to cross the Bridge, I will be in the High Country with Emma, all her friends, and my own dogs.

Thank you, Sue and Bill. This book is a gift to all of us.

Comments:   I feel privileged to have been at the launch of Emma's Journey. It is a wonderful book that caters for all all ages, from young children to adults. I met so many Airedales and people who share our common love of dogs, and in my case, also a love of the Australian High Country, where Emma and Aaron now roam.

Comments: Prepare yourself for a good cry!

I was reading the book to my godson at bedtime l& just had to miss a paragraph for my sake.... He is now 9 years old.

I was close to tears & he was close to sleep.

It was a great experience though. Timmy & I talked about death & what happens to your spirit. we talked about the high country & what Emma & Aaron died from.

We talked about how spirits can guide & look after you while you are alive & how you can keep people & pets alive by your memories.

He has had a favourite great uncle & a grand father die when he was five. He asked to go to the wake of the uncle & when saw him in the Coffin told the Aunt that the box was going to change into a space ship & shoot up in to the sky & land on a star!

He totally gets the whole concept of spirits & saw that Emma & Aaron were spirits because they had the white around them where as Charlie & Rose didn't.

I don't know how long we did the bed time read but I tell you, it was one of my best times with him.

Comments: Thanks so much for writing the story of Emma and her friends. The story and illustrations and simply wonderful! And thanks again for the autograph and dedication to my little pup Dugan. I know Emma, Aaron, Airlie, and Meggie Bear are teaching him all of the things that I didn't have a chance to teach him here on earth. What fun they must be having! I highly recommend this book to Airedale lovers and everyone else!

Comments: At last! A browser that lets me share with the world our warm thoughts about Emma's Journey. Having read the book no less than 12 times in the first week, I am literally brought to tears. Not from sadness per se, but from the enormous warmth and energy Sue and Bill share of their affinity for the Airedale. We have grieved the loss of our Kugel for a few months already...but having Emma in hand, our sadness is somehow lessened, because we feel that Kugel is now among friends in the high country. For those still contemplating the purchase, we believe it to be the best medicine of all. Whether an adult or a child, every reader will connect with Emma's bittersweet story. Thank you for sharing one of the best stories we have read in a long, long time. What a *fabulous film Emma's Journey would make !!!!
